Week 5 Navarre vs Davenport Team Davenport The curse lives on for another season. The high rollers wanted a shot at a chance to break it, but Honey Boo-boo and crew had other plans. TD started with the ball on the opening drive. The drive bumbled and stumbled down the field before we stalled out…

Read MoreA LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome to the 45th year of the Baton Rouge Ancient Athlete Society. I am both excited and humbled to be the 45th President of this club. There are some big shoes to fill over the last several years. The presidents and boards of the past can’t be thanked enough for growing and improving the club to what it is today. Together with my board, I intend to continue to move the club forward and leave it better than it was before.
I found out about the club in 2014 and was lucky enough to be selected into the 35th rookie class when I was 30 years old. I was excited to get to play different sports year-round, but I had no idea what I was really joining. Now ten years later, the sports are fun, but they are such a small part of what really makes this club great. If you are only showing up to play your games and then heading home, you are missing out on the opportunity to build many professional and social relationships with people you probably never would know otherwise. I encourage you to volunteer to help at social events or be a captain or a commissioner of a sport. You will get so much more out of the club if you are willing to put more in.
ABOUT BRAASTRONG

THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE A VEHICLE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR ANY BRAAS MEMBER THAT MAY FACE A SERIOUS HARDSHIP OR TRAGEDY IN THEIR LIVES, OUR “BROTHERS IN NEED”.
While any contribution BRAAStrong can give may only make a small dent and it does not in any way take away the pain of the situation, it hopefully provides some small piece of relief.
